For a college project. Brief was to make and photograph a dress made from 'found objects'.
It was a horrid brief, it was a horrid dress (fence wire, bandages, old tan stockings and binding-ribbon). Cut myself four times making it. Grrrr...
My theme was sorta 'Post Apocalyptic'...
Did you make the mask yourself? never seen anything like it before...
Anyway, I like the dress, and the theme. I would have liked a more full view though.
hehe no! I think its one of the more modern gasmasks...Not a particularly traditional shape. Thank you...i'll try and upload one to show the outfit more..
Love the concept. The contrasts, paradox. The belly, visible, proof of life. Just thinking 'bout a body, alive. Breathing. The bandages on the breast, close to the heart, the mask needed on the head, kinda head confusion, prisoner of her minds, prisoner of love. White, symbol of purety. The gloves for the softness, and maybe to be protected. Then the bandages on the hand, like a bond. The hands, the way to act, are tied. Nice pict, quite expressive
Thankyou. Very interesting comment! You made me think about my own images in a totally different light. To me she is perhaps a post-nuclear-fallout angel...a symbol of mankinds future living both with and as a machine? Technology the future but also the destructor...hummm...Im sure I sound awfully pretentious! Dont shoot me. Ima gonna hush now..

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
